Allen Vanguard Program to support Improvised Explosive Device (IED) Preparedness Programs

State and Local Governments supporting the First Responder community rely on Federal funds to implement IED Preparedness Programs. Grant programs, such as the U.S. Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP), provide millions of dollars annually to law enforcement agencies to facilitate the acquisition of equipment and conduct planning, training, drills, and exercises that support IED-Preparedness Federal funding is available for First Responders in disciplines such as:

Bomb Squads

Tactical / SWAT Teams

Public Safety Dive Teams

Explosive Detection Canine Teams

Frequently, available Grant funding may not be fully accessed by end users due to the perceived complexity of the application process. The establishment of the Allen-Vanguard GAP (Grant Assistance Program) provides the first responder community with simplified processes to help understand and access grants available to fund IED Response capabilities.

The Allen Vanguard GAP provides our valued customers with an IED Grant ToolKit, which includes the following:

A comprehensive overview of available grants, with references to applicable equipment and training programs;

Grant templates to facilitate simplified grant application writing; and,

Grant writing technical assistance.
