On the morning of 24 November 2008 a vehicle-attached IED functioned in eastern Baghdad targeting a minibus transporting government employees to the International Zone. Thirteen passengers were killed in the explosion and subsequent fire, while four people including the driver were injured, making this the most effective vehicle-attached IED attack in Iraq to date.
